Trauma changes the way you experience the world — treatment can too
PTSD is the mind and body’s response to overwhelming experiences that felt impossible to survive. It is not a weakness, and it is treatable. And with the right clinical support, real recovery is possible. Infinity Health provides trauma-informed psychiatric assessment and treatment for patients across North Dakota and Minnesota.
Who we treat
PTSD does not discriminate — it affects people from all backgrounds and walks of life. We have particular experience working with:
- Military veterans — including those from Minot AFB, National Guard, and Reserve units
- First responders — law enforcement, firefighters, EMS
- Survivors of accidents, natural disasters, or violent events
- Survivors of childhood trauma or abuse
- Healthcare workers and caregivers who experience vicarious trauma
- Civilians experiencing trauma from any source
Signs and symptoms of PTSD
- Intrusive memories, flashbacks, or nightmares related to the traumatic event
- Avoiding people, places, or situations that trigger memories
- Negative changes in mood, beliefs, or feelings about yourself or the world
- Hypervigilance — always feeling on edge or easily startled
- Difficulty sleeping, concentrating, or controlling reactions
- Emotional numbness or detachment from others
Our approach to PTSD treatment
Cindy Hagen, PMHNP-BC is trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and brings a multidisciplinary, whole-person approach to trauma care. Treatment may include psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, medication management to address sleep, anxiety, and mood symptoms, and close coordination with trauma-focused therapists.
PTSD treatment via telehealth
For many trauma survivors, leaving home to attend appointments is itself a significant barrier. Telehealth makes it much easier to get care from home. Infinity Health is licensed to provide PTSD treatment via telehealth across all of North Dakota and Minnesota — including rural communities and areas far from Grand Forks.
